OSCAT : Online Scholarship cum Admission Test for B.Tech/B.Arch, MBA and Hotel Management.
As the name suggests, OSCAT is an online examination conducted by The Sanskriti Group of Institutions, as a base for admission and availing scholarships. Introduced in this recent year of 2012 as a means for bridging gap between college and students, this national level competitive test is for admission to under-graduate engineering (B.Tech), architecture courses(B.Arch) and MBA.
The procedure begins with the first step of registering oneself for OSCAT by sanskriti group of institutions which will make them avail of all the current news feeds and information about the college as well as the examination and is absolutely free of cost.
Once registered, the students will receive an email confirming their registration and their OSCAT date, time and an automated username and password. The student will be allowed to login only 10 minutes prior to the scheduled test timings. OSCAT will be an 45 minutes multiple choice examination with an option for every student to chose a subject of their choice for the examination. Also, an option of attempting 45 questions would be given out of 60.
Example for B.Tech OSCAT: A choice between physics, chemistry and maths would be given and if the student opts for maths, the OSCAT 45 mintues test would be a total math based questionnaire.
